"Orders are orders" represents the fifth installment within a series of comic strips found on the LEGO Star Wars official webpage. Its initial release occurred in the latter part of 2008 via the LEGO website, and it was subsequently made available on StarWars.com starting on October 21, 2009.
"Even those orders that seem quite suspect must be followed."
The comic strip commences with Asajj Ventress being given instructions for a fresh assignment by Count Dooku through a holographic transmission. The scene then transitions to a Republic Gunship transporting General Kenobi, Commander Cody, and other clone troopers, accompanied by a pair of V-19 Torrent starfighters, as they approach a certain planet. Obi-Wan clarifies that he received directives from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine to safeguard this planet that is allied with the Republic. As the LAAT/i enters the atmosphere, they are confronted by Separatist forces positioned on the ground, and they come under attack from a couple of Droid Gunships. The LAAT/i succeeds in shooting down one of them, while Kenobi leaps from the Republic Gunship and obliterates the other using his lightsaber. After the LAAT/i lands, all the clones, with the exception of Cody, are lifted into the air due to Ventress's Force Grip. Ventress then makes her escape, with Kenobi pursuing her on a speeder. The two engage in a lightsaber duel, which is interrupted when Kenobi falls. As Ventress advances to attack, the words "To Be Continued!" appear, followed by a scene featuring two clones (including Cody) and two battle droids playing cards and speculating about the duel's progress. One droid remarks that "someone will probably lose a hand", to which a clone responds, "that does seem to happen a lot".
