Oriadann was a planetary body situated within the Outer Rim, and it existed as the binary companion to Brazadann.
Following the calamitous Destruction of Alderaan by some time, Oriadann underwent a catastrophic explosion caused by the energy of a Korendum. An Ithorian scientist named Suunfuus provided a fragment of his crystal to the inhabitants of the planet to serve as a source of power; however, the unrestrained release of the crystal's energy resulted in the planet's demise.
The widespread belief throughout the galaxy was that the Galactic Empire was responsible for the planet's destruction, with many fearing the emergence of a new superweapon, despite the Empire's lack of involvement.
The world of Oriadann was conceived by Christophe Debien together with Patrick Bousquet for the roleplaying scenario "La légende des cristaux", featured in Casus Belli 76, a French magazine; its canon status is uncertain.
