The Oricho system was situated within the Oricho sector, which itself was located in the New Territories region of the Outer Rim Territories.
This system, known as Oricho, made its initial appearance in The Essential Atlas, a reference book from 2009 authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry. The book identified its position as grid square M-6.
