Ovum

The ovum, or ova in plural form, represented the female reproductive cell within specific species, notably Humans. An ovum, once externally fertilized by a male's sperm, would result in the creation of a new individual. Occasionally, the reproductive process could generate multiple offspring concurrently. When a single fertilized ovum underwent division, it resulted in the creation of multiple children with identical genetic makeup. Conversely, the simultaneous fertilization of distinct ova led to the birth of siblings who, while born at the same time, possessed differing genetic compositions.
