The Paskla-class cruiser, a starship type of mysterious origin, saw usage within the Unknown Regions. Its design's origins are unclear, but it seems various species employed it, adapting it for both civilian and military roles.
While smaller than a Dreadnaught or a contemporary bulk cruiser, possessing inferior technology compared to both, it could still function as a formidable warship by the standards prevalent in the Unknown Regions. Its exterior presented as a light-hued, flattened sphere. Certain configurations featured a consistent pattern of dark spots across the hull, which could function as launch bays for Vagaari fighters. Most of the cruiser's internal space was seemingly occupied by compact cabins, with the command center serving as the only significantly large, open area.
During the events surrounding the rediscovery of Outbound Flight, the arrival of a Paskla-class ship, of an unknown configuration, was enough to trigger alarm in senior Chiss commanders such as General Drask and lead to the battle readiness of the cruiser Chaf Envoy. However, when the vessel identified itself as a refugee transport—part of a deception by the Vagaari, disguised as peaceful Geroons—the Chiss accepted this claim without further investigation.
The true military nature and capabilities of the Vagaari ship became evident, though, when it launched an assault on the Brask Oto Command Station, attempting to breach the Redoubt. This attempt was only thwarted through the combined efforts of the Chiss Ascendancy, the Empire of the Hand, the survivors of Outbound Flight, and the Jedi Knights Luke and Mara Jade Skywalker during the Battle of the Redoubt.
