Paul Davids


Paul Davids, along with his spouse Hollace, is the co-author of the series for young readers known as Jedi Prince. Growing up in Bethesda, Maryland, Paul later obtained a degree from Princeton University. He pursued studies in both writing and film direction at the American Film Institute (AFI) in Los Angeles, California. Subsequently, Paul gained membership in both the Writers Guild of America and the Producers Guild of America. His wife started her professional life as a coordinator for the FILMEX Society for the Los Angeles International Film Exposition; currently, she holds the position of Senior Vice-President of Special Projects at Universal Pictures. Paul's career includes work as a writer and producer on various television productions, notably the animated series Transformers (where he is credited as production coordinator for 79 half-hour episodes and also wrote 4). He also worked on the Roswell television movie, which received a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Television Movie. He is widely recognized for bringing the Roswell alien phenomenon to the forefront of public awareness. Among the films he both wrote and directed are STARRY NIGHT (Universal), TIMOTHY LEARY'S DEAD, THE ARTIST & THE SHAMAN, THE SCI-FI BOYS (which won the Saturn Award for Best DVD in 2006), and JESUS IN INDIA (scheduled to premiere on the Sundance Channel in December 2008). Together, the Davids have two children, Jordan and Scott, both of whom have established careers in the entertainment industry. Scott Davids has significant credits as an editor or assistant editor in Hollywood for films and TV programs like BORAT, KNOCKED UP, HBO's FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS, and the upcoming Sacha Baron Cohen film BRUNO from Universal.
