Pegg was a world situated in the Outer Rim Territories' Trans-Hydian region, specifically within the Tynquay sector's Pegg system. This terrestrial celestial body was home to a number of spaceports, and the main one's concourse housed Merrk's Weapons Shop. During the Galactic Civil War, individuals from Yesgar's pirates (group), who maintained a base on Antared III in the Esstran sector, were seen entering the shop; notably, their purchases were never officially registered with the local government of Pegg.
The world of Pegg initially appeared in Star Wars Gamemaster Handbook, a resource published by West End Games in 1993 for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. Within the game, the celestial body was used as an example to advise gamemasters on how to use various handouts. Later, in 2009, The Essential Atlas reference book placed the Pegg system in grid square R-4. Jason Fry, a co-author of the book, has explained that the names of the star systems listed in the Appendix of The Essential Atlas are based on the most significant planets or celestial bodies within those systems. Consequently, this article treats the existence of Pegg as canonical within the Star Wars Legends continuity.
