PersonalAssistant-4x recording rod

The PersonalAssistant-4x recording rod, a product of the Tagge Company, was a type of recording rod. Its price was a mere thirty credits.

Characteristics

TaggeCo. manufactured the consumer-level recording rod known as the PersonalAssistant-4x. It possessed the capability to capture both video and audio at a high quality, thanks to its visual-recording lens which featured automatic focus, zoom, and light-adjustment capabilities that were computerized. The PersonalAssistant-4x had a recording range extending up to fifteen meters.

With user-friendliness in mind, the PersonalAssistant-4x boasted easy-to-operate controls, including one-touch buttons and straightforward adjustment options. The recording rod also included a small screen for playback and a speaker, enabling users to review recordings immediately after capture. Recordings were stored on exchangeable storage crystals that provided a total recording duration of one hundred hours. A built-in display showed the remaining recording time, and the power cells offered two hundred hours of usage before requiring a recharge.

The PersonalAssistant-4x featured an integrated dataport that allowed it to connect to datapads, droids, and computers. Through its interface ports, it could accommodate peripherals such as microphones and long-range imaging lenses, including those sensitive to infrared and ultraviolet wavelengths.

Although it couldn't record in genuine holographic format, the device employed coding to interpret recorded data. Holoprojectors and computers could then utilize this two-dimensional data, extrapolating it to create images that appeared nearly holographic. The purchase price of the PersonalAssistant-4x was thirty credits.
