Pesitiin, a gas giant located within the Pesitiin system, was designated as an Expansion Region. This world was characterized by intense atmospheric disturbances. A defunct mining facility, once operated by Bosken & Bosken, was present; their efforts to extract gases from the planet's atmosphere were unsuccessful because of the severe storms, leading to the company's financial ruin.
In orbit around Pesitiin, Admiral Gilad Pellaeon planned a rendezvous with General Garm Bel Iblis to formalize a peace accord between the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic. However, Moff Vilim Disra, a betrayer, managed to intercept Pellaeon's invitation intended for Bel Iblis. Disra also deployed Cavrilhu Pirates disguised to appear as Bel Iblis's soldiers, with the mission to assault Pellaeon's flagship, the Chimaera. Notwithstanding Disra's schemes, Leia Organa Solo discovered Pellaeon's intentions and engaged with the Admiral at Pesitiin prior to his departure, thereby creating the initial diplomatic foundation for what would later become the Pellaeon–Gavrisom Treaty.
