Petja, a white dwarf, served as a companion star to the primary star known as Hoth's Brand within the Hoth's Brand system. Its orbital position was the eleventh around Hoth's Brand, situated just past the planet called Othone.
The star received its name in honor of the Jedi Knight Petja. This Jedi was a participant in the Ruusan campaign, which occurred a thousand years prior to the Battle of Yavin.
