Petja was a Jedi Knight of the male gender and Human species, serving under the leadership of Lord Hoth and General Kiel Charny during the New Sith Wars. He met his end, being killed, near the conclusion of the Ruusan campaign, as a result of the Force being wielded by a grief-stricken child after he eliminated her friend.
Despite the prevalence of advanced blasters, Petja, a Jedi known for his unique quirks and unwavering determination, favored the use of a conventional and somewhat rudimentary bow in combat.
Zannah utilized telekinesis to fatally Force-crush Petja shortly before the Seventh Battle of Ruusan, this was due to Petja mistakenly slaying her associate, Laa. Following his death, the star Petja within the Ruusan system was given his name in memoriam.
