Ph'ton, identified as male, was a Bith Jedi Master who dedicated his service to both the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic. During the Clone Wars, he held the rank of General within the Grand Army of the Republic.
As a Force-sensitive Bith, Ph'ton received education in the ways of the Force from the Jedi Order. His mastery of the Force and skill in lightsaber combat led to him achieving the rank of Jedi Master. When the Clone Wars broke out between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Master Ph'ton assumed the position of General in the Grand Army of the Republic.
Amidst the widespread war and resulting chaos, Master Ph'ton was tasked with leading a critical mission: safeguarding the population of Alderaan. While his fleet was en route to defend the planet from attack, Master Ph'ton was greatly troubled when his Padawan, Flynn Kybo, deserted the battle in a Delta-7 interceptor. He feared the young man might succumb to the dark side of the Force. However, unbeknownst to Ph'ton, Kybo had embarked on a futile mission to assassinate General Grievous, the cyborg leader of the Separatist Droid Army.
