Pit Cornburr was a Human male living during the Galactic Civil War era. Following the Battle of Yavin, he took a position with the Galactic Empire's auxiliary personnel, working as a maintenance technician at the Imperial Research and Prison Facility located on the planet Dathomir. At this location, Imperial scientists were secretly engaged in highly dangerous scientific experiments, with the goal of re-engineering the terrifying Blackwing virus for use as a bioweapon. In 1 ABY, an incident occurred at the Imperial Research and Prison Facility, leading to the escape of the virus from its containment. Cornburr, along with the majority of individuals in the area, became infected with the Blackwing virus, resulting in their transformation into undead beings. The Blackwing virus controlled Pit Cornburr's undead form, causing it to continue roaming the Imperial Research and Prison Facility until a spacer destroyed it at the deepest level of the research complex.
Pit Cornburr existed as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and released by LucasArts, before its shutdown on December 15, 2011. Pit Cornburr was introduced into the game through "Game Update 14," which was launched on October 12, 2009.
A simple examination of Pit Cornburr only identified him as Cornburr. However, one of the computer displays within the facility showed his complete name as Pit Cornburr. He was among the Undead boss enemies within the Quarantine Zone, whom players were required to defeat in order to finalize a collection.
