A planet hopper represented a class of starship designed for the transportation of people from one planet to another. Frequently, it was a scaled-down version of a shuttle, sometimes outfitted with a basic hyperdrive and a navicomputer with limited capabilities, enabling only shorter hyperspace jumps. Conversely, some planet hoppers lacked hyperdrives entirely. An example of a planet hopper was Ponta Two, which belonged to Akshaya Ponta.
