Poppy sailed as a pirate belonging to the Blazing Claw crew. They were a member of Gunda Mabin's, the pirate queen's, crew on the vessel known as the Bloody Bones.
Poppy's initial appearance was in Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide, a reference book authored by Daniel Wallace in 2018.
