Just following the events of the Battle of Yavin, the Alliance Fleet gathered again within the Pothor system, situated in the Mid Rim. The Rebels had planned to rendezvous at that location with Commander Gial Ackbar, as well as two experimental B-wing starfighters, subsequent to the Battle of Roche. The plan was for Ackbar to be elevated to the rank of admiral when he arrived in the Pothor system.
