When the New Republic started gaining prominence, and the Pentastar Alignment's sway diminished, PowerOn voiced intentions to withdraw and integrate with the New Republic. To counter this potential loss of authority, the Alignment, in collaboration with the Karazak Slavers Cooperative, abducted the children of Cantras Gola's ambassador. This act was meant to coerce PowerOn into remaining within the Alignment to ensure the safety of the ambassador's offspring.
Fortunately, a mercenary group known as the Red Moons, who were strong adversaries of the Pentastar Alignment, intervened by rescuing the children, thus alleviating the pressure on PowerOn. Soon after this liberation, the company officially seceded and became part of the New Republic.
