The Presagers of Hakotei were a group dedicated to ritualistic practices, calling the world of Hakotei their home. Their fixation on prophecies and glimpses into what was to come drove them to perform millions of sacrifices, all in the pursuit of prophetic visions. It was widely believed that the Presagers had died out during the time of the Republic Era. Nevertheless, the final gathering of Presagers, along with their priestess, found a way to live on, concealing themselves on the planet known as Asusto. While on Asusto, the Presagers orchestrated a scheme to ensnare the Jedi Master Lene Kostana as well as the Padawans Dooku and Sifo-Dyas, with the intention of carrying out a ritual. After receiving a Force vision, Dooku, against his will, unleashed Force lightning, resulting in the deaths of the Presagers and the liberation of himself and his Jedi companions.
