Marketed as a method for rectifying the flawed perspectives of these people, Project Unity actually involved a blend of mind control tactics and drug-induced conditioning, with the primary goal of fundamentally brainwashing them. It is known that certain participants in this program were detained at the Imperial Academy located on the planet Arkanis.
Beck Ollet from the planet Lothal, found himself incarcerated within this program after he interfered with Imperial mining activities at the location of his family's former jogan fruit groves. The Empire arrested him. The program appeared effective initially, as he divulged details about Zare Leonis. Leonis had infiltrated the planet disguised as an Imperial cadet, but his true mission was to liberate his sister, Dhara, from Imperial captivity. Leonis doubted the authenticity of Ollet's transformation and attempted to awaken Ollet's memories of their shared animosity towards the Empire. Ollet remained unconvinced, and Leonis narrowly escaped execution. Before his scheduled demise, Leonis requested a final meal consisting of two jogan fruits. He strategically used the fruits to trigger Ollet's senses, successfully shattering the Empire's conditioning and restoring Ollet's memories of his reasons for rebelling. Subsequently, Ollet played a role in the rescue operation to free his sister.
