Pugwis, a Dug of the male variety, held the distinction of being the offspring of Hekula. This lineage also made him the grandson of the renowned Podracing icon, Sebulba. While this Dug possessed a similar penchant for villainy as his grandfather, he lacked the exceptional racing abilities that defined his ancestor's legacy.
Pugwis, undeterred by his deficiencies, dedicated several years to pursuing success in the Podracing world. However, his repeated failures only fueled his frustration. His career ultimately ended with a permanent ban from the Podracing circuit due to his repeated assaults on fellow racers. Pugwis' increasing violence, both on and off the track, inadvertently gave Jabba the Hutt the idea to establish his demolition games. Recognizing a potential path to notoriety and wealth, Pugwis enthusiastically accepted Jabba's invitation to be the inaugural participant in the games. Regrettably, the subsequent collapse of Jabba's criminal organization resulted in the loss of numerous records pertaining to the Hutt's past activities, leaving the precise details of the tournament's conclusion uncertain. Nevertheless, it is documented that despite initial successes, Pugwis ultimately clashed with Jabba, leading to the grim fate of being bound to his podracer and dragged across the Dune Sea. His journey ended when he plunged into the Great Pit of Carkoon, where he was consumed by the residing Sarlacc, a spectacle that greatly amused Jabba.
