Quarzite's space station, an orbital skyhook station, was linked by tethered turbolifts to a transport area situated within the subterranean caverns of Quarzite; this was because the planet's surface experienced immensely powerful atmospheric pressure, capable of destroying starships and obliterating lifeforms.
