Quednaks, sometimes referred to as riding beasts, are six-legged, herbivorous reptiles that the Yuuzhan Vong employed as pack animals. Their purpose was to carry both people and goods. Despite their large size, they were capable of achieving speeds of up to forty kilometers per hour. These creatures also possessed a higher level of intelligence compared to other Yuuzhan Vong organisms, demonstrating a basic comprehension of commands. While the Yuuzhan Vong occasionally utilized them as mounts in warfare, this practice was uncommon, stemming from their belief that the Warriors were more worthy of the prestige associated with combat than simple animals. A notable instance of their use by the Yuuzhan Vong occurred during the Battle of Ylesia.
