R2-D0, also known as Deo, was the R2-model astromech utility droid belonging to Tiree. Deo managed to get away from the numerous predicaments Tiree found himself in, and aided several groups of Rebel operatives in the rescue of Tiree.
Furthermore, he assisted inexperienced Rebel pilots in navigating the derelict mine located within Mesa 291 on Bothawui and possessed the coordinates for a rendezvous point with General Lens Reekeene's flagship, the Home.
R2-D0 was an R2-series astromech droid who served the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the time of the Galactic Civil War. He was partnered with Agent Tay Vanis, who was more widely known as "Tiree". Shortly following the Battle of Yavin, Vanis and R2-D0 had planned to meet with potential new recruits at Mesa 291 on Bothawui. However, Imperial Security Bureau agent Mar Barezz discovered the meeting. Vanis's intent was to draw Barezz and the Imperial forces away, leaving R2-D0 and some supplies at the arranged meeting location. R2-D0 received instructions to guide the recruits through the abandoned lidium mine to reach escape vehicles, and he carried the coordinates for a Rebel base. With R2-D0's assistance, the recruits successfully navigated the mine to a group of concealed BTL Y-wing starfighters. Vanis, who was injured, was also discovered there, and R2-D0 connected to one of the Y-wing's droid sockets in order to provide the location of the hidden Rebel base for their escape.
