Rackfever represented a disease characterized by its rapid spread and the absence of any effective treatment. On one occasion, Luke Skywalker bravely offered his services for a task on a planet significantly impacted by a widespread rackfever outbreak, being confident that his mastery of the Force power known as Control Disease would allow him to remain unaffected by the affliction.
