During the time they resisted the Imperial forces occupying their native planet of Aridus, a Human who purported to be Obi-Wan Kenobi—though he was in reality an impersonator in the service of Darth Vader—launched an attack that resulted in the destruction of an Imperial outpost. This attack was planned by Vader to give weight to the impersonator's assertions of being Kenobi, in order to lure Kenobi's previous student, Luke Skywalker, into a trap.
