Raider Squadron, a pirate starfighter squadron, operated under the command of the infamous Crimson Jack. Jolli, Jack's second-in-command and the only known squadron leader besides Jack himself, preferred piloting a Y-wing starfighter when leading the group into battle.
After obtaining his personal battlecruiser, Crimson Jack established a starfighter group housed within the ship's hangar. This squadron utilized various starfighters, including TIE fighters, X-wings, TIE bombers, and Y-wings. Shortly after the Battle of Yavin, Crimson Jack's crew encountered the Millennium Falcon. Raider Squadron was immediately deployed with orders to cripple the Falcon, successfully maneuvering the freighter into the path of their battlecruisera's tractor beam.
During a subsequent confrontation with Han Solo, Leia Organa, and Chewbacca, the Millennium Falcon's crew managed to incapacitate nearly all of Raider Squadron's fighters during their escape from Jack's battlecruiser. Despite the damage, Jolli swiftly repaired three fighters, leading a pursuit of the Falcon. This diminished squadron attempted once more to guide the Falcon into their battlecruiser's tractor beam range, but Solo's piloting skills destroyed two fighters and disabled Jolli's Y-wing. Crimson Jack, prioritizing his own survival, abandoned Jolli to her fate to focus on Solo. Feeling betrayed by this abandonment, Jolli turned against her former captain, using her damaged Y-wing to inflict critical damage on Jack's battlecruiser. This act of defiance resulted in the destruction of Jack's pirate crew, and the remainder of Raider Squadron was obliterated when Jolli intentionally crashed her Y-wing into the battlecruiser to ensure its complete destruction.
