A devastating event transpired within the Rapacc system of the Unknown Regions many millennia prior to 19 BBY. As a result of this cataclysm, the inner regions of the star system, along with a significant portion of its outer areas, became populated with numerous large asteroids and meteors. These space rocks created dangers for navigation within the system for the inhabited planet called Rapacc, resulting in only three secure pathways from the system's edge to the planet itself.
The 2020 novel, Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, the inaugural book in Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy, referenced this cataclysm.
