"Swift Jedi Incursion" was a phrase that described the swift, impactful, and streamlined methods employed by a Jedi to successfully execute a search and secure operation. The acronym "SJI," which was its informal abbreviation, became a common expression among members of the Galactic Alliance Guard when discussing a string of raids led by Colonel Jacen Solo on Coruscant during the initial phases of the Second Galactic Civil War.
"Swift Entry By Jedi" signified the non-lethal subjugation of potentially hazardous entities through the utilization of the Force to disable and subsequently capture them. The method it characterized, shortened to the initialism "SJI," entailed removing the door of a fortified area with minimal structural compromise, and the harmless restraint of suspected offenders or insurgents, all achieved through the power of the Force.

"SJIs" were conducted in response to a wave of terrorist actions on the galactic metropolis of Coruscant orchestrated by Corellians angered by the rapidly deteriorating relationship between their native world and the Galactic Alliance. The Alliance's covert law enforcement, the Galactic Alliance Guard, initiated raids in Coruscant's Corellian Sector, including one such operation in Jabi Town, spearheaded by two Jedi: Colonel Jacen Solo along with his student, Ben Skywalker. They approached a locked residence where their scanners detected three individuals inside, armed with heavy weaponry. Sergeant Wirut assessed the occupants as hostile and uncooperative, signaling Solo to remain behind as he prepared to breach the building and secure them. However, Solo insisted on participating, and after confirming with Wirut that incapacitation was the desired outcome, he employed the Force to deliver a paralyzing shock to the spinal columns of all three perpetrators. Subsequently, he telekinesis propelled the locked doors open, allowing the Guard members to enter freely and apprehend the incapacitated criminals. One of the soldiers, a woman, jokingly commented to Solo that his effective search and seizure methods would soon render the Guard obsolete. She then invented the term "SJI," and when Solo inquired about its meaning, she responded, "Swift Jedi Incursion."
Solo himself later utilized the technique during another raid executed by the Galactic Alliance Guard within Coruscant's underlevels. During that particular encounter, Solo employed the Force to gain access to the location and disarm the assailants by removing their firearms. He then telekinetically slammed one of them, a woman, against the wall, holding her there until members of his team were able to detain both individuals.
The expression "Rapid Entry By Jedi" appeared only in the second novel of the Star Wars: Legacy of the Force series, Bloodlines, penned by the author Karen Traviss.
