Lieutenant Raprice held a position as an officer within the Imperial Navy, serving aboard the patrol vessel known as the Vigilant in the years leading up to the Battle of Yavin. He served under the command of Captain Deyd Llnewe.
Raprice was known for his meticulous nature and dedication to his duties, with an exceptional eye for detail. Captain Llnewe appeared to hold a mixture of disdain and sympathy for Raprice's zealous approach and his belief that these border patrol assignments were a stepping stone to an illustrious future.
Raprice was also unknowingly involved in a short interaction with Han Solo and Chewbacca while they were engaged in smuggling Corellian Corvettes to Mako Spince on Nal Hutta. Despite personally conducting two separate inspections of the vessels, Raprice remained unaware of their activities. His focus was on locating illicit spice, and therefore he did not find any indication of the smuggled ships. Unbeknownst to him, the two inspections were performed on two different Corvettes.
