The rat-stunner served as a non-lethal energy weapon, specifically designed for the incapacitation of rats. However, with a full power cell modification, this device could be altered into a genuinely lethal weapon. Despite this modification, it was prone to overheating and exhibited only marginal effectiveness when used against droids.
