A battle arena existed upon the world of Rattatak, a planet. In the year 23 BBY, Osika Kirske, a powerful warlord, set a snare for Asajj Ventress by offering himself as the lure when she tried to assassinate him. Ventress was then imprisoned and made to participate in combat within the arena. While Ventress was engaged in one of these battles, Dooku, a Sith Lord, arrived at the arena seeking a skilled assassin, observing Ventress from the vantage point of Kirske's private box. Ultimately deciding to make Ventress his Sith apprentice, Dooku employed his lightsaber to execute Kirske, thus ending the warlord's life.
