RC-1Z was a protocol droid owned by the Ithorian swooper named Draknus during the era of the Galactic Civil War. Following the Battle of Yavin, RC-1Z, in conjunction with RC-2X and RC-3T, assisted Draknus in overseeing the Mos Entha race track, which was located on the world of Tatooine.
Within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, RC-1Z appeared as a non-player character. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts. The servers for the game were taken offline on December 15, 2011. RC-1Z was incorporated into the game as part of the "Legacy Quest" when "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," was released on November 15, 2005.
