A red pachydermoid species of sentient beings existed on a world situated in the Outer Rim, positioned close to the boundary of Galactic Republic territory. These beings possessed small trunks terminating in white, thread-like appendages, and a sizable tusk on each side of their trunk. This species also had prominent ears and hands with three fingers.
The species battles against Mandalorians.
The Galactic Senate included representation from this species, starting no later than the Exar Kun War period. During the Mandalorian Wars, preceding the Battle of Vanquo, the Mandalorians seized control of their native planet. Subsequently, a minimum of two members of the species became part of the Mandalorian military, with a presence on Taris.
This species made its initial appearance in the comic book Tales of the Jedi: The Sith War, which was released in 1995, as a senator for an area not specifically named. It remained unseen until Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic: Flashpoint, which was published in 2006. Dustin Weaver, the artist responsible for the pencils in that issue, made a reference to this relatively unknown species as an enjoyable connection to the earlier series.
