Reinforced fiber armor was a form of lightweight armor produced by armor smiths on planets that faced scarcity in metal resources. It was constructed from the fibers of the jung-ju tree, combined and held together using artificial compounds, which resulted in a protective layer that was both effective and pliable. This type of armor was specifically engineered to deflect attacks from energy-based weapons. The arrangement of fibers on its surface allowed it to soak up and safely scatter the energy from such attacks. Nevertheless, fiber armor had its limitations, and some well-aimed blasts could still penetrate it.
