Rekkiad, a frigid and barren planet characterized by extensive ice and snow cover, existed within the remote Rekkiad system, situated in the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy. Following the Mandalorian Wars, the Jedi Knights Revan and Malak concealed Mandalore's Mask on this desolate world.
Prior to the Great Hyperspace War, which pitted the Sith Empire against the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic, a Sith Lord named Dramath the Second journeyed to Rekkiad. Fleeing his homeworld of Medriaas with a group of loyal followers, he sought refuge after his half-brother Tenebrae murdered their father, Dramath, and initiated his campaign to seize control of their world. Upon Dramath the Second's death, his servants erected his tomb. An emissary of Vitiate later discovered and desecrated this tomb, retrieving Dramath's remains for his master.
Subsequently, Revan and Malak rediscovered the tomb, utilizing Dramath's sarcophagus as a hiding place for Mandalore's mask. The Mandalorians later determined the mask's location, leading several clans to Rekkiad in search of it. Among these Mandalorians was Canderous Ordo, accompanied by Revan, who sought to understand the events that led to his and Malak's corruption and transformation into servants of the dark side. Revan and Canderous located Dramath's tomb, finding both Mandalore's Mask and a datacron containing information about Dramath and his past.
