Renan bloodwolf

Renan bloodwolves were a type of predatory species that originated on the planet of Rena. A bloodwolf was once taken by Imperial Governor Wilek Nereus to add to his assortment of dental examples. These creatures inhabited the mountainous regions above the vineyards of Rena, and were a little less than a meter in height at the shoulder. The size of its two pairs of slashing teeth was disproportionately large when compared to the rest of its skull. They possessed thick, lengthy fur that was silvery and patterned with large spots for the purpose of disguise. The outer layer of fully grown bloodwolves' teeth had a dark reddish-brown enamel due to the presence of iron deposits. They were pack hunters that consumed spiny hordzats and banthas.

The Pipunt people held this predator in high regard, referring to it as the "Great Beast Prince." It was well known that Renan bloodwolves would defend their young with great ferocity. The male leaders of packs would engage in deadly combat to safeguard their young. In situations where it seemed like the safest option to preserve a cub, they would carry it in their mouths and flee from danger at speeds reaching up to eighty kilometers per hour, although cubs were sometimes unintentionally killed by the powerful jaws during these escapes.
