Rena (planet)
Rena, a world famed for its wine and the habitat of the fierce Renan bloodwolves, can be found within the galactic expanse. During his time spent gathering dental samples, Wilek Nereus, an Imperial Governor, once made a trip to Rena.
Behind the scenes
The Truce at Bakura Sourcebook references Rena as one of the seventeen planets explored by Wilek Nereus while he was in the process of acquiring predatory dental specimens. In some of the records that describe the species Nereus cataloged, both a specific planet and a star system are specified. However, in other instances, only the planet is named; Rena is one such example. It may be somewhat perplexing that each species entry identifies a home "system"—for example, "System: Rena" is listed for the Renan bloodwolves. However, this seems to indicate a planet rather than a star system, much like the sinosai species from "System: Ithor," given that there is no "Ithor system," but merely the planet Ithor. Nevertheless, other species records using the same classification appear to refer to a star system. To illustrate, the cooha species is noted as originating from "System: Gandeid," and the planet Gandeid IV is identified as their home.
