Characterized by its sweeping lines, Republic architecture flourished on Coruscant during the era of the Galactic Republic. During the Clone Wars, this style was progressively superseded by brutalist architecture, a robust and imposing form spearheaded by military architects such as Orson Callan Krennic. Ultimately, Brutalist architecture became the prevailing aesthetic under the Galactic Empire, the successor to the Republic.
