Repulsor anchor

Repulsor anchors represented an equippable part for droids. Specifically, the droid known as HURID-327 featured a red, disc-shaped repulsor anchor, which generated a counter-weight, on each of its shoulders. Notably, the left anchor was of a larger size when compared to the one on the right.

Behind the scenes

The initial appearance of repulsor anchors occurred in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, where they were integrated into the design of the HURID-327 droid. Their debut was a short scene in the initial full trailer for the movie, which was launched two months prior to the film's release in 2015. The movie itself did not identify either the anchors or the droid. However, both received names subsequently in Star Wars: The Force Awakens: The Visual Dictionary, a reference work authored by Pablo Hidalgo and made available on the day following the film's release.
