The resonance projector, a superweapon, discharged plasma warheads known as resonance torpedoes capable of causing a star's core to become unstable.
Description
This weapon system, the resonance projector, launched resonance torpedoes. These torpedoes gained their activation charge by traveling through the resonance energizer before being launched from the projector itself. When aimed at a star, the result was a supernova, obliterating everything within range. The resonance projector stood alone as the only superweapon with the capacity to annihilate an entire star system, resulting in the instantaneous death of trillions of living beings.
History
During the construction phase of the DS-1 Orbital Battle Station, the Resonance Torpedo Launcher was considered as a potential armament for the battle station.
The Sun Crusher featured the resonance projector as its main armament. This projector launched the projectiles responsible for the destruction of the Cauldron Nebula and the destabilization of the Carida's star, which led to the destruction of the entire system.
