Behind the scenes

The animated short "The Duel," a non-canon work from Star Wars: Visions produced by Kamikaze Douga, featured rice; it also appeared in the associated novel Ronin: A Visions Novel, authored by Emma Mieko Candon. As depicted in these narratives, rice was a cultivated crop, gathered by farmers from the fields surrounding a village located on the Outer Rim planet known as Genbara. This rice provided sustenance for the villagers and was the primary occupation of the settlement's inhabitants. A character referred to as an aunty transported baskets filled with rice along the path leading to Osou.
