Those who wished to demonstrate their value would participate in this ceremony, which entailed venturing into a cave submerged underwater. Inside the cave, they would ingest a fragment of glowing seaweed. This seaweed, through the influence of a piscator, would then induce a feeling of intense dread in the consumer. To successfully complete the rites, the individual was required to stay within the cave and face their deepest fears. During the time of the Galactic Civil War, a team of Rebel Alliance operatives journeyed to Alluuvia. In order to show the Anguilla that their motives were sincere, these agents took part in the Rites of Conch-tar.
