Ro Vacca, a Nikto, existed in the final thousand years of the Galactic Republic.
Vacca served as a scribe in the employment of the Hutt known as Direus'pei. When Kossak the Younger tasked the Hutt with creating a theatrical work about Kossak Inijic Ar'durv, Direus'pei initiated the drafting process, with Vacca recording the Hutt's dictations. They dedicated several years to the undertaking, ultimately titling the play Evocar. However, Kossak the Younger's patience waned, and in 671 BBY, he forcibly acquired the play's draft. Disgusted by the play's criticism of Hutt exploitation of the Evocii, Kossak commanded that Direus'pei and all copies of the play be destroyed by Maltorran protoplasm.
Vacca managed to flee, carrying with them an earlier version of the play, and, fulfilling Direus'pei's dying request, disseminated it among the Hutt's enslaved species. Consequently, numerous species under the Hutt's control rebelled against their Hutt overlords.
