Robin Gurland served as the casting director for both Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace and Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. It was this same Gurland who noticed the striking resemblance of actress Keira Knightley to Natalie Portman, the performer portraying Queen Amidala in the films. Additionally, Gurland makes an appearance in the spoof documentary R2-D2: Beneath the Dome.
