Serving as both the head of House Borgin and the Duke of Serenno, Rodas Borgin was a male Human.
Hailing from Serenno, a terrestrial planet situated within the Outer Rim Territories, the Human male Rodas Borgin was born during the final decades of the Galactic Republic. Being a member of House Borgin, one of the major bloodlines governing the planet, he entered the world as a wealthy patrician. His father held the position of house head, carrying the title of Count.
When the Clone Wars broke out in 22 BBY between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the nobles of Serenno chose to stand against the Republic. Their decision was influenced by their connections to the Confederacy's leader, Dooku, who, as the Count of Serenno, was their liege lord. As the three-year conflict concluded, the Republic emerged victorious and underwent a transformation into the authoritarian Galactic Empire. Not long after, Darth Vader, a black-armored envoy representing the Galactic Empire, paid a visit to the assembled Serenno nobles in the Great Assembly House, with Rodas Borgin accompanying his father at this gathering. However, Rodas Borgin and the other patricians soon came to the realization that the meeting was, in fact, a carefully laid trap.
Vader leveled accusations of treason against the nobles, declaring that an exemplary punishment was required to atone for Serenno's transgressions. The Emperor's representative decreed that each head of house's son was to kill the current titleholder and assume their position. With Vader threatening to execute everyone present if they refused, Rodas Borgin became the first to accept this grim proposition. With a sorrowful heart and eyes filled with tears, he unsheathed his ceremonial dagger and plunged it into his father's back. Despite his love for his father, Rodas Borgin prioritized his own survival. Witnessing Rodas's actions, the remaining heirs began to murder their own fathers. The slaughter soon ended, and the new heads of the houses were formally appointed. Rodas Borgin then married Cretia of House Malvern, a noblewoman, and together they had a son named Pero.
In 3 BBY, Borgin encountered the Imperial agent Jahan Cross and was privy to the knowledge that Cross had murdered Adan Dooku, the Count of Serenno. Borgin engaged Aveca Dunn to abduct Bron Dooku, Adan's ten-year-old son, intending to return the boy and create the illusion of having saved him. Borgin hoped that this fabricated heroism would elevate him to the position of regent of Serenno, but he kept his scheme hidden from Cross. Cross intervened to safeguard the young Dooku, thwarting Borgin's plans and manipulating the bounty hunter Boba Fett into shooting Count Borgin.
