The Rodian Home Fleet represented the space-based naval forces of the Rodian people.
During the time of the Old Republic era, the fleet came into existence. The Soammei clan's leader, known as the Chief Protector, declared himself the "Grand Protector" (a title derived from the Rodese term "Inta'si'rin'na"), and subsequently formed the fleet. This very Grand Protector was also responsible for the creation of the Grand Protector's Hunter's Guild, alternatively called the Goa-Ato, which limited travel off-planet to only bounty hunters.
The main objective of the Rodian Home Fleet involved upholding the authority of the Goa-Ato and stopping unauthorized individuals from departing Rodia. Its responsibilities also included the defense of the Tyrius system, where Rodia was located. Despite these duties, the Home Fleet didn't consistently achieve its goals, resulting in numerous Rodians illegally leaving the planet.
