Rogua served as one of the nine Gamorrean guards under the employment of Jabba Desilijic Tiure. He seemed to derive pleasure from tormenting Gartogg. He was a member belonging to the Groogrun clan.
His responsibilities included guarding the primary entrance (alongside his partner, Ortugg) and escorting prisoners to their holding cells. During the arrival of C-3PO and R2-D2, he was on guard duty at the main door with Ortugg. When Leia Organa Solo, in her disguise as Boushh, entered the palace accompanied by Chewbacca, Ortugg and Rogua escorted the Wookiee to his prison cell. Gartogg followed them, intending to offer assistance, but Ortugg and Rogua dismissed him. Despite this, the disappointed Gartogg continued to follow them.
When Jabba attempted to negotiate terms with Boushh, Gartogg sought permission from Ortugg and Rogua to accompany them on Jabba's sail barge, but Ortugg stated that Gartogg had to earn that privilege. Rogua then mocked Gartogg for his inability to form coherent sentences. After Gartogg discovered the corpse of Phlegmin and expressed his intention to solve the murder, he approached Rogua and Ortugg. Ortugg then promised Gartogg that he would be allowed to join them on the sail barge if he solved the mystery.
Later on, when Luke Skywalker made his arrival at the palace, Rogua and Ortugg tried to impede Luke's progress. However, they were both Force choked by the Jedi Knight and were rendered unconscious. Rogua was among the Gamorreans present on the sail barge during the Battle of the Great Pit of Carkoon, along with Ortugg, who is confirmed to have perished in the barge's explosion.
