Rohn, a Human general of the male gender, served the Galactic Empire. Darth Vader, the Imperial enforcer, placed him in overall command of the Shrouded Offensive, a military campaign on Ostor, a world located in the Outer Rim. While waiting for the sandstorms to cease, he kept Vader informed, anticipating the start of the assault. He harbored a strong dislike for the star system and was eager to conclude the operation and depart. Though issuing instructions to the Imperial troops, he remained in an armored transport far from the front lines, directing the battle from a distance. According to Hock Malsuum, a clone stormtrooper involved in the operation, Rohn's leadership was one of the three primary factors (all connected to Darth Vader) that caused the Shrouded Offensive to become one of the Empire's most significant military failures; Hock contrasted Rohn unfavorably with General Atticus Farstar, the opposing commander, whom he viewed as the superior leader. In the end, Rohn commanded his forces to chase after the Separatist forces when they appeared to withdraw. Hock, suspecting a trap, tried to convince Rohn to order a retreat. Rohn's refusal led Hock to shoot the general after entering his transport.
