Roman Coppola, born on April 22, 1965, is an American director, music video director, and screenwriter. In the 1999 movie Star Wars:_ Episode I The Phantom Menace, he made a brief appearance as Cid Rushing, a security officer for Padmé Amidala. As the brother of Sofia Coppola and the son of director Francis Ford Coppola, a long time friend of George Lucas, he comes from a family of filmmakers. Coppola's directorial work includes the films CQ and A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III, and he co-wrote screenplays for movies like The Darjeeling Limited and Asteroid City. Furthermore, he is known for directing music videos for artists like The Strokes, Daft Punk, and Fatboy Slim.
