The Royal castle functioned as the center of governance in the capital of Tammuz-an.
The tower, which was the location for the royal succession ritual on Tammuz-an, was a part of the castle complex. Within the castle walls, a large statue stood behind the throne where the monarchs sat. King Julpa would utilize a different chamber with thrones for each delegation leader when in discussions with visiting foreign officials.
A sprawling, ancient dungeon with a complex network of passageways was located within the fortress. The dungeon's perils included a pit with a durkii, corridors guarded by archaic battle droids, a [lava](/article/magma-legends] pool, and chambers featuring trap doors and walls that closed in. Mon Julpa's father shared knowledge of a concealed entrance to the dungeon, which was used in an effort to secretly get to the ceremonial tower. The dungeon also included a jail, which held offenders such as the pirate leader Gir Kybo Ren-Cha along with his gang.
Furthermore, the castle possessed a sizable hangar that housed groundcars, Side Gunners, multiple squadrons of R-22 Spearhead starfighters, Imperial Sniper vehicles, Floater-935s and Ubrikkian Airhooks.
